From the Airport to the Door

From GRU (Guarulhos) to the plaza

Guarulhos is the international airport, and there are three sensible ways in. Traffic is the wild card — the same trip can take 45 minutes or push past 90 at peak, so give yourself room.

• App-car (Uber / 99) — the simplest option, door to door. Follow the airport signs to the app pickup area. Expect roughly 45–90 minutes depending on traffic. Easiest with luggage, and it drops you at the building.
• Airport bus — the EMTU Airport Bus Service runs comfortable coaches from GRU to points around the city, including the República / Barra Funda area and Avenida Paulista. Cheaper than a car, air-conditioned, and a good choice in heavy traffic.
• By rail — the CPTM Line 13 (Jade) connects the airport to the wider train network; from there you can reach Luz and change to the metrô for República. The cheapest route, with a couple of changes — good if the roads are gridlocked.

From CGH (Congonhas)

Congonhas sits close to the center, so it's the easy one. An app-car to the Suite is usually 25–40 minutes. It's the airport for the Rio shuttle, so if you're combining trips, you'll get to know it.

The honest rule: allow up to 90 minutes from GRU at busy times, half that from Congonhas.

A tip on timing

If you can, avoid landing into the evening rush. A late-morning or early-afternoon arrival gives you the smoothest run into Centro — and enough daylight to settle in and take that first look out the window.
